Thai Beef Balls

You really have to take the time to do this dish at home

We are used to buying the beef balls already-made, but it is possible to make them by yourself. The balls will be much better and healthier, especially if you use some good meat.

The recipe is quite long and technical, so you should make a good quantity of balls and store them in the freezer. It is very easy to adapt the recipe by replacing the beef with chicken, pork, fish, shrimp, etc.

There are so many ways to enjoy them: in a broth or a soup, grilled, steamed, fried... In Thailand, they are mostly made of pork and easy to find them in the street food shops, people dip them in a hot spicy sauce and accompany them with herbs. In Vietnam the beef version is preferred for the noodle soup called Phô. Bon appétit.

Ingredients for 30 Beef Balls

  • 500g of beef
  • 15g of corn starch
  • 10g of salt
  • 1 tbsp of fish sauce
